There is a great need for diversity in the STEAM fields and its more important than ever to enhance student self-esteem in science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

The Duquesne University School of Education and the Barbara A. Sizemore Urban Education Initiative are hosting its 7th Annual Dr. Barbara A. Sizemore Summer Conference.  The theme of this year’s conference is “Engage Yourself in STEAM:  Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math”.

This conference is designed to bring together Duquesne University and the Pittsburgh community around issues related to improving education for all students, particularly the education of students in urban schools.

Promoting diverse individuals leading the way in STEAM fields.
Creating possibilities and accessible opportunities for diverse individuals and others in urban schools/communities.
Be a part of an exciting exchange of ideas that builds on the legacy and work of Dr. Barbara A. Sizemore.
