Collaborations, Alliances and Mergers
Strategies for Sustainability or Growth

As nonprofits consider strategies to increase sustainability or growth, many look at “strategic restructuring” or partnering which can take the form of a collaboration, alliance, or even a merger.  During this discussion and workshop we will simplify the complex and explore:

  • The various types of strategic partnering and the benefits and perils of each
  • A “readiness assessment” to help you determine whether your organization is prepared for partnering
  • What to look for in a partner and how to initiate a partnering conversation
  • The merger or collaboration exploration process; what to expect; and common challenges and pitfalls.
  • We will demystify terms like due diligence, memorandums of understanding.

Our speaker is Leslie Bonner from Bonner Consulting | Making Nonprofits Stronger, who has been a consultant and coach for 16 years and who has worked with over 200 nonprofits on organizational assessments, strategic plans, leadership coaching, board development and alliance exploration and planning.
