Database Assessment and Management
Thursday, July 26, 2018 9:30 AM–12:30 PM  Squirrel Hill

Every fundraising program needs a well-managed and comprehensive data management solution to be successful, sustainable, and reach its full potential.  It needs to fit the nonprofit’s current capacity in order to ensure consistent use and maintenance, and have the ability to support growth, cultivation of diverse revenue streams and increasing sophistication.  This program will consider: database selection and use; coding structure; data entry guidelines and staffing; performance analysis; and growth capacity.  It also includes a trouble-shooting session to address participants’ database challenges.

This program is appropriate for the hands-on data manager as well as the supervisor of the fundraising program, whether a Director of Development or Executive Director.  By the end of this program, participants will feel more confident in making a first-time database selection or assessing their current solution.  They’ll be able to evaluate their organization’s approach to data use and management, and suggest improvements to better support fundraising success.

The speaker will be Anna Doering, Founder of AD Consulting.  Anna is an experienced non-profit professional with 25 years of diverse fundraising (paid and volunteer) experience working with non-profit organizations that range from an all-volunteer grassroots organization to an international membership organization to a higher education institution.  She began her career with the leading women’s funding federation in the country, Women’s Way in Philadelphia, and, prior to founding AD Consulting, Anna was the Vice President for Development and Alumni Affairs at Chatham University.

The fee to attend this workshop is $20 per person which can be paid at the door with cash or check made payable to Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.  Space is limited and registration is required by calling the Nonprofit Resource Center at 412.622.6277.
