Join History Center educators and archivists to learn more about using archival sources for research and in the classroom!
The Detre Library & Archives contains countless primary sources that illuminate stories of Western Pennsylvania people, companies, and organizations. In this program, archivists and museum educators will spark passion for primary sources by covering the basics of archival research and discussing how teachers can integrate local primary sources into their lessons to bring history to life for students.
Teachers will handle genuine archival materials and leave with new ideas for using primary sources in the classroom.
