Forming Partnerships to Meet Strategic Objectives

Tuesday, November 24, 2015
9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

It has been proven that forming strategic partnerships with other agencies can greatly enhance a nonprofit’s programs and services while improving its overall sustainability. This program will introduce you to the many benefits of public/private partnerships and provide practical tools for achieving program success.

Join us for this training and learn:

• Scenario Planning Techniques
• How to Select a Viable Project
• Assembling a Project Team
• Communicating Success

Our speaker will profile two very different project types to demonstrate planning tools that stimulate strategic thinking while making disciplined project planning and effective implementation as easy as following the plan. Participants will walk away with practical techniques for “thinking outside of the box” and assembling the talent needed.

The speaker will be Barbara Nicholas, an entrepreneur, community leader and dynamic strategist with more than 30 years of executive leadership and development experience in the nonprofit human services sector. She has launched two successful businesses, served nearly 15 years as Chief Development Officer at Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, and seven years as Development Director at Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh.

The fee to attend this program is $20 per person, which can be paid at the door. Registration is required by calling the Nonprofit Resource Center at 412-622-6277.
