As grant professionals, we often are asked to pursue corporate dollars that originate from a company’s marketing budget rather than their philanthropic budget. This requires a different approach than we’re used to in grant-seeking. How can we be competitive when we seek corporate marketing dollars? How do we know if our mission aligns with the goals of the company? What is it that companies are looking for in community partners?
