Are you interested in the nonprofit sector? Do you have a long range vision for your career? Are you thinking about starting a job search?

Michelle Pagano Heck and Todd Owens, Principals and Founders of Nonprofit Talent, will share their experience and insights gained from years of nonprofit leadership, reading thousands of resumes, counseling thousands of individuals, and supporting hundreds of nonprofit organizations in executing their leadership hiring strategy.

Participants will benefit from topics including:
• What organizations seek in hiring a leader
• What to include (and exclude) in your professional resume
• Common pit-falls of a job interview
• Deciding your best path to personal and organizational leadership

Michelle Pagano Heck has extensive, direct, nonprofit executive leadership, fund development, and management experience. Working with nonprofit clients, she specializes in succession planning, interim leadership, executive search and executive coaching. Additionally, she provides consultative services to nonprofits, specifically in board development and fundraising audits/assessments. Among other accomplishments, Michelle has held positions in management with WQED Multimedia, The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh, the American Cancer Society, and the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force. She is the former Chairman of the Board of the Allegheny County Housing Authority and a former Trustee of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library.

Prior to co-founding Nonprofit Talent with Michelle, Todd managed ParenteBeard’s non-profit consulting services team in Pittsburgh whose main focuses were executive search, succession planning and interim executive leadership. Prior to holding this position, Todd worked with Kate Dewey at Dewey & Kaye and served clients as a project manager, facilitator, and organizational development consultant.
