July 21, 10 a.m. to Noon <– note the new start time!

Monitoring and evaluation systems are critical for helping an organization understand what they have achieved and what they are striving towards. Yet, how do we apply monitoring and evaluation in mentoring programs through measuring “soft” skills such as building positive relationships and increasing pro-social behaviors in participants? What are the correct questions to ask participants when measuring progress? While many organizations that specialize in mentoring programs understand basic components of monitoring and evaluation, they often struggle applying theory to practice.

On July 21st from 10am-12pm, we will go beyond the basic notions of monitoring and evaluation and learn how to create and transform program objectives and indicators into a strong, robust design that demonstrates success to funders and stakeholders.

Meredith Bapir, TMP Consultant for Evaluation, will explore how to create a logical framework matrix by selecting key performance indicators relevant to mentoring programs. We will explore questionnaires and how to apply them to our organizations, learn the process of setting up data collection and just how to use it.

Seasoned monitoring practitioners as well as novices alike are welcome!
