This workshop contains a discussion on why it is important to continue to include basic language/reading activities in the daily lives of our school-age children. Questioning techniques and strategies will be offered so adults can check to see if children understand content. Additionally participants will create reading and writing activities using everyday materials. Booklists will be included in this workshop.
