SAFE: Guidelines to Prevent Child Molestation in Mentoring and Youth-Serving Organizations
March 16, 2016
9am – 3pm
One Hope Square, Third Floor Conference Room
1901 Centre Avenue

Each year, 35 million adults come in contact with more than 80 million young people through activities provided by youth-serving agencies. Within that pool of adults who create close, positive relationships with youth, there are individuals who target youth-serving organizations with the intent to sexually abuse children.

SAFE was developed by Friends for Youth, Inc. to help organizations prevent these applicants from infiltrating programs and gaining access to youth. Based on current research, the mentoring field’s best practices and Friends for Youth Inc.’s 35 years of direct service experience, SAFE training offers practical, tested tools to prevent child predators from turning mentees into sexual abuse victims.

Join us for this very important training. Lunch will be provided.
