Engaging Young LEARNERS Showcase
October 30, 2014 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
It is important to immerse students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) from an early age. Engaging young learners in STEM encourages creativity and innovation while simultaneously developing skills such as communication, critical thinking, collaboration and problem solving.
This showcase will introduce participants to the variety of early childhood professional development offerings available through ASSET, including:
• Math (Patterns, Shapes and Play; Number Sense, Measurement and Reasoning)
• STEM for Young Learners (Engineering Design Process)
• Hands-on science modules designed specifically for young minds from Building Blocks of Science (BBS)
• Children’s Innovation Project (Electric circuitry)
A light dinner will be provided.
ASSET Members: Register on Services Online.
Nonmembers: Contact Meredith DeLecce at mdelecce@assetinc.org to RSVP.
Please RSVP by Friday, October 24.
