TeacherQuest Pittsburgh Summer Institute
June 27-29 , 9am-4pm every day
@ transformED West, McKees Rocks, PA

Description

Do you want to use games and game design to support student-centered learning? In this workshop, you will design your own analog learning games, supporting tasks and reflective spaces — producing a whole set of playful experiences you can use in your classroom. Throughout the design process, you’ll explore deep questions about learning and assessment, observe and analyze student reactions and level of engagement, and reflect on your teaching practice.

This workshop is designed for educators of any content area who work with grades 6-12, but any interested educator is invited to join. No application required. We recommend signing up in teams of 2 or more to support ongoing collaboration.

Educators who successfully complete this program will receive 21 Act 48 hours.

This program is hosted by Institute of Play in partnership with Allegheny Intermediate Unit. See videos from past TeacherQuest programs at www.teacherquest.org.
