Using Census Data in Grant Writing

Join us for this special presentation on how to use census data to strengthen your nonprofit’s grant proposals.  Attendees will learn:

About the statistical tools available through the American Community Survey using American Fact Finder and other data resources.
How to access the most appropriate demographic data in order to make an irrefutable case for support.
Where best to fit the data into your proposals.
This hands-on training is perfect for both beginning and advanced grant writers, and will be held in the Job & Career Education Center on the second floor of the Main Library at 4400 Forbes Avenue in Oakland.

Our speaker will be Noemi Mendez, the Data Dissemination Specialist from the Philadelphia Regional Office of the U.S. Census Bureau, which now covers 8 states and the District of Columbia.
