FROM RESEARCH to PRACTICE
Youth Today is offering our third 30-minute lunch-time webinar series which can be used by Out-of-School Time (OST) and youth development practitioners to design research-based programs and quality instructional activities. Each webinar pairs researchers with practitioners from out-of-school time programs, beginning with an overview of the research literature on the topic, followed by practitioners discussing their program in relation to the research. The webinar ends with a lively dialogue between the presenters and the audience.

Each registrant – whether or not they attend the live webinar – receives the following materials, including:

  • A resource list, including references and links
  • The powerpoint presentation
  • An MP4 video recording of the webinar that can be downloaded and used for turn-around training
  • A link for streaming the video from our Vimeo site
  • A training tip sheet on how to use the webinar for turn-around training

SEPTEMBER 29 |Thurs| 1pm ET – Culturally-Based Programs to support English Language Learners in OST. Leigh Patel, Boston College; Wilmer Quinones and Juan Maldonado, Sociedad Latina.
