Site Coordinators:

Manage all on-site operations of daily Community LEARNS programming.
Schedule: Part-time/Full-time – Monday – Friday 11:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Assist program director in overall planning, coordination and delivery of program.
• Ensure that all Community LEARNS programming follows the designed program model.
• Responsible for recruiting, building, and maintaining relationships with all participants and their families – Serve as main point of contact for participants and their families.
• Build and maintain working relationships with school teachers, counselors and administrators – Serve as main point of contact for school staff.
• Work directly with the school to process teacher referrals and collect collecting data from school on attendance, grades, standardized test scores, disciplinary actions, etc. to connect youth to the appropriate afterschool academic services.
• Work with academic coordinator and lead teachers to appropriately group participants in the respective academic component of Community LEARNS.
• Ensure students attend daily - develop and deliver strategies for tardy/absent students.
• Schedule and coordinate all daily operations for the site, including daily activities & scheduled trips.
• Ensure production and distribution of program information documents, including weekly and monthly schedules/calendars of academic and recreation activities, field trips and events, to participants and their families as a recruitment and parent engagement tool.
• Ensure there is an information board, on-site, for participants to see and get weekly schedules.
• During academic periods and rec., monitor site and handle referred discipline issues.
• Ensure enrollment paperwork is collected and maintained for all participants.
• Ensure students sign-in each day and that participation in all activities is documented.
• Ensure all data is tracked, collected, and reported to program director.

Assistant Site Coordinators:

Assist site-coordinator with managing all on-site operations of daily Community LEARNS programming.
Schedule: Part-time/Full-time – Monday – Friday 11:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Coordinate and manage all logistics for on-site activities.
• Serve as secondary program contact for all school staff.
• Oversee and document all aspects of rec. activities, maintaining an orderly environment at all times.
• Help handle discipline issues - refer to site coordinator in the event that assistance is required.
•Clean up academic/rec. areas and/or return all supplies as instructed, enlisting students to help.
•Work with Coordinator to secure additional/back-up spaces for busier academic sessions
• During rec., monitor assigned activities.
• Assist site coordinator with collecting and maintaining enrollment paperwork for all participants.
• Assist site coordinator with scheduling, coordinating, and designing the promotional materials for all activities and field trips.
• Assist site coordinator with grouping participants in the respective academic component of Community LEARNS.
• Manages daily upkeep of on-site information board.
• Assist site coordinator in tracking absent youth and contact families/youth to get them back to
program.
• Assist in coordinating site including:
- Open site
- Prepare for student arrival
- Ensure facility is kept orderly and organized
- Coordinate use of breakfast and lunch food programs
- Communicate daily schedule and weekly schedule to youth
- Maintaining all paperwork on participants
- Having students sign in and out each day

Tutors/ Classroom Assistant

NLA Staff/Work Study - Monday – Friday 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM + possible meetings
• Assist lead teacher to prepare for and organize class, maintain an orderly and organized environment, and deliver academic content.
• Work with groups of students to implement components of the daily lesson plan.
• Provide differentiated tutoring in a 1:3 minimum Tutor/Student ratio.
• Always serve as an authority figure in the classroom, assisting lead teacher with overall classroom management.
• Inspire and motivate students.
• If 1:3 minimum ratio is not maintained, tutors/CA’s will be calling their assigned students to get them back in program and may be sent home early.
• Discipline: Use walkie-talkie if there is in an issue in class that you cannot handle yourself; The
site coordinator will either deal with it directly or assign an assistant site coordinator to handle the situation. For example, issues involving students who need to be removed from class or rec. activity should be referred to the site coordinator
