The best coaches equip their athletes to succeed on and off the field. Pirates Charities is partnering with FISA Foundation and United Way of Southwestern PA to host a special training program for area high school athletic coaches, athletic directors and superintendents at PNC Park.

We hope you’ll join us on Saturday, February 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a dynamic training session in which you’ll learn about Coaching Boys Into Men, an evidence-based program that gives high school coaches the tools to talk to their athletes about healthy relationships. By teaching young men what is appropriate behavior in their relationships, we can build men of good character who respect women and speak up if they see a peer being disrespectful or abusive.

Keynote speaker Joe Ehrmann, a former NFL player and now educator and speaker with Coach for America, will discuss how coaches can be leaders in building a culture of respect.

You will leave the training session with the tools necessary to implement the program this season. If you are interested in learning about Coaching Boys Into Men, but are not yet ready to implement, please register for a half-day session.
