Quality Campaign
Research has shown the importance of afterschool and summer programs in supporting the healthy development of children and youth. Research also shows that poor quality programs can negatively impact youth. Because of this, APOST is committed to supporting and building access to high-quality opportunities for youth. Contact us for personalized support and technical assistance. Learn about our Quality Campaign, read our Statement of Quality, and view the list of current Quality Campaign members.
Professional Development
A key strategy for building program quality is to support the skill development of youth practitioners. APOST offers two FREE professional development conferences in the Fall and Summer, as well as workshops at no cost to youth-serving organizations (minimum eight participants) and professional development opportunities through community partnerships.
Allegheny Childcare Listings
The Allegheny Child Care Finder is a unique search tool developed to support families. Caregivers and parents of young people (ages 0-18) can now search available child care, afterschool and summer camp programs throughout Allegheny County in real-time.
We would love to include your program(s) in the Allegheny Child Care Finder. If your organization provides child care, afterschool, and/or summer programming, please submit your program information.
