Discovering STEM: A Holistic Approach to Engineering Design Process & Project-Based Learning

$350Join Western New York STEM and the State University of New York Fredonia for a 2-day workshop on a holistic approach to STEM education for PreK-2 educators. Explore the essential components of the Engineering Design Process and Project-Based Learning. The program will be delivered by ASSET STEM Education™.

Day 1 Outcomes:
- Develop common language articulating a STEM education philosophy
- Explore the Engineering Design Process (EDP) in engaging students in STEM
Day 2 Outcomes:
- Develop awareness of Project-Based Learning (PBL) characteristics
- Discuss support required for the implementation of EDP and PBL
Participants will also have the opportunity to attend optional mini-workshops on student-centered learning strategies and industry tours sponsored by WNY STEM.
Fee: $350 per person
Reduced rate: $300 per person for teams of three or more
