Everyday Mentors: Who Are They and What Can They Do For Us?

January 22, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Monthly Leadership Network Meeting

January 22, 2015, 9-11 a.m.

TMP Offices

Do you wish recruiting mentors from the community was an easier task? Would you like to see the young people in your program get more from their existing mentoring relationships or be able to draw new mentors into their lives?

Come join TMP for a conversation about how Everyday Mentors might be part of the solution. Everyday Mentors are adults already in young people’s lives who can make a positive impact through their daily interactions–from the staff at your program, to all the adults they see throughout their day—their family, teachers, coaches, activity leaders, etc.  We would like more adults in our community to see themselves in the role of a mentor, both formally and informally. We also want youth to have many people in their lives that they can call on for support and to be able to seek support when they need it.

For this session, we will share some interesting new research on the topic and discuss strategies to build the network of support around the youth in your mentoring program. If you aren’t going to the National Mentoring Summit, this is your chance to catch this session led by TMP’s Natural Mentoring Coordinator Kristine Pugliese right here in Pittsburgh.  Click here to register!
