Mentoring Leadership Network Meeting: Mandated Reporter Safety Training

Mentors and mentoring program staff are mandated reporters. However, with changes to Pennsylvania laws in 2014 and recent events in the news, it is clear that people are reluctant to report child abuse because of their own fears or misunderstanding of the law. As a mandated reporter, you play a vital role in preventing child abuse!
Please join us on Wednesday, May 20th, from 9-11:30am for a free mandated reporter safety training presented by Gail Brown, Manager of Prevention Services at Pittsburgh Action Against Rape.
PAAR’s training meets a variety of needs:
- Ensure your staff is up to date with Pennsylvania reporting requirements
- Increase the likelihood and comfort in reporting incidents
- Provide early intervention for victims of child abuse
- Certification of training will be awarded to all who complete the training
Training will take place at The Mentoring Partnership’s offices. Everyone is welcome and, as always, we’ll have a delicious breakfast ready for you!
