NOIST Summer Seminars 2015

NIOST (National Institute for Out-of-School Time) Summer Seminars offer professional development to those in afterschool, out-of-school time, extended day, summer camp, youth development, education or related fields.
New for 2015: We’ve moved the location of Summer Seminars to historic Back Bay in the heart of the city of Boston, MA. Back Bay is accessible by public transportation and offers a variety of eating establishments and shopping options. Our seminars will take place at the Hotel 140 located on Clarendon Street.
Session 1: July 13-14
Seminar A: APAS – A Program Assessment System
This seminar is for afterschool directors, supervisors, curriculum and education coordinators, and 21st CCLC personnel interested in utilizing the APAS – A Program Assessment System. Learn more >>

Seminar B: Quality Advisor Training
Two tracks – Program Level and System Level Users
The seminar will prepare you to provide technical assistance to Out-of-School Time programs working on quality improvement. Build confidence and skills as a Quality Advisor through hands-on learning. Learn more >>

Seminar C: APAS Quality Practices
This seminar will provide you with research-based program practices to help you create engaging and challenging programming and establish supportive staff and youth relationships.
