Statistics may shock, but stories motivate, and nonprofits have great stories to tell. Learn how to show your nonprofit’s impact through different kinds of storytelling. In this workshop, you will learn why stories are important and how to make the case for storytelling at your nonprofit. You will learn how to master the art of storytelling by creating a storytelling grid to use for your communications calendar or an upcoming campaign or crowdfunding initiative.
Attendees will learn:
How to gather stories and make storytelling part of your nonprofit’s culture
About different kinds of stories and writing for different audiences, including through various social media channels
How to gauge the impact stories are having
Techniques to engage an audience
Ways to craft your nonprofit’s story, and more!
This training is designed for anyone interested in storytelling. Attendees should come prepared with client, donor, or other stories related to their own nonprofit and be ready to participate in a brainstorming session and hands-on activity.
