The day will begin at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center to explore the inspiring exhibit from Reggio Emilia, Italy, called “The Hundred Languages of Children.” This will highlight the importance of letting children lead us in their path of exploration and learning.
Then, after a welcome and orientation, participants will select from a series of two fieldtrips to nearby partnering arts organizations to experience cutting edge initiatives. At each site, there will be a tour, a hands-on learning experience and a short presentation offering connections for educators to take back to their own setting.
The day will end with a round table discussion geared to particular interest groups and topics. Lunch will be provided for all participants. Qualifying educators will receive 6 hours of credit per day.
