SEO Basics for Nonprofits
March 26, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Tuesday, March 26, 2019 9:30 AM–12:00 PM Main (Oakland)
Join us and explore the benefits of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) so that you can maximize your website’s exposure and the experience of those visiting your site – whether they are seeking to be a donor, volunteer, member, or someone that would benefit from your services. SEO copywriting is more than just “key phrases” and “writing for Google.” In fact, smart SEO copywriters spend hours researching, preparing, and planning their topics before they start writing.
This workshop will demonstrate how you can dive deep into your target market’s psyche to connect with your reader, whether they are current or future donors, volunteers, or members of your organization. We’ll focus on the four phases of smart background research including competition and current trends, performing a SWOT analysis, profiling your perfect customer, and messaging. Walk away with new tools to enable you to write more readable and effective content, resulting in increased traffic to your website and greater visibility for your nonprofit.
Our guest speaker, Dorit Sasson, is a certified SEO Copywriter through the SEO Content Institute and a B2B copywriter who helps businesses connect and convert their target audiences. She specializes in increasing brand awareness and traffic to her clients’ sites through search engine optimization tactics. Dorit also helps small businesses and entrepreneurs build their online platforms through the power of smart content marketing.
The fee to attend this workshop is $20 per person, which can be paid at the door with either cash or a check. Space is limited and registration is required by calling the Nonprofit Resource Center at 412.622.6277.
