Got any free time on the weekends? Join APOST at United Way of Southwestern PA’s Pittsburgh Office for two of our original workshops; Stages of Youth Development (now updated with even more relevant content) and Basic Teaching Strategies!
Stages of Youth Development reviews the four basic areas of human development as it relates to the various age groups of youth including: early childhood, middle childhood, early adolescents, and middle adolescents. This workshop is for individuals interested in learning how to prepare age and challenge-appropriate lessons for youth that correspond with specific areas of development.
After a short break, Teaching Strategies will help us review various learning styles such as visual, verbal, and logical, as well as the seven multiple intelligence types that correspond with them, and best practices and techniques to ensure that all children are learning in the way(s) that fits them best.
A light lunch will be provided.
