Classes run on weekday afternoons (generally between 2:30–5:30 PM) at local schools and preschools primarily in the East End, Monroeville, and North Hills neighborhoods. Coaches deliver a fun, movement-based curriculum focused on confidence, grit, and growth mindset. The K-8 Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall management, vision, and success of all aspects of Fusion, Center of Life's (COL) K-8 after-school program, and Camp Hazelwood, the K-8 summer program. COL's K-8 programming exists within a broader comprehensive approach to engaging families, public and private schools, and community partners to ensure that all students enrolled in COL programming reach their highest potential and receive the support and enrichment they need to thrive. The K-8 Program Coordinator is responsible primarily for ensuring that the program's operations are in place to ensure high-quality program delivery. This includes oversight of all day-to-day logistics; recruiting, retaining, and developing a high-quality staff; supporting the Education Programs Manager on the implementation of program curriculum; and fostering relationships with the students, families, and community at large. The Program Coordinator is responsible for creating an engaging, innovative, and learning-focused atmosphere that promotes discovery and leverage of students' natural aptitudes toward the individual's success. The Program Coordinator supports compliance with all delivery of services to the educational, ethical, and legal standards as well as to the core values and mission of COL.

The After School On-Site Manager will oversee the onsite responsibilities of the After School program by monitoring the daily operations of the program, supervising staff and volunteers, and managing student wellbeing and programmatic activities. The On-Site Director will work closely with the Program Director to lead the program to ensure the academic and emotional development of elementary school students, primarily from immigrant and refugee backgrounds, is being met. The Out-of-School-Time Program Facilitator is responsible for creating a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic and social potential. Job functions include: Promote and support the mission, values, and goals of the YWCA while maintaining performance standards, facilitate assigned curriculum to program participants within our partnering school districts and community partner program sites throughout Allegheny County (you will be responsible for facilitating four (4) program sites, two (2) at the middle school level and two (2) at the high school level), create a learning environment that guides and encourages participants to develop and fulfill their academic and social potential, attend Saturday Academy sessions at local universities/colleges or trades (Saturday Academy typically operates between the hours of 9:00 am- 3:00pm and will take place at least one Saturday a month), and attend corporate visits with program participants (these typically happen during the week between the hours of 9:00am-3:00pm). You must be available Monday-Thursday 12:30pm-5:30pm with occasional evening and weekend hours, have access to reliable transportation as most of our program sites are not easily accessible by public transportation and value, demonstrate and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
