Program Description
Saturday Crafternoons promote project-based learning, hands-on making, experimentation and community engagement for youth ages 5-10 through free DIY workshops with local makers. This year, Crafternoons are offering more make-and-take activities, creating new DIY community-focused projects, connecting STEAM learning with craft, introducing environmental issues to youth, and catalyzing the creation of an Assemble DIY.org clubhouse. Our goal is to empower youth to be confident makers, foster a love of DIY projects, promote connected learning, and activate an interest in their community and city. This project supported in part by the Spark Fund for Early Learning at The Sprout Fund. For more information, contact Jess at 412-540-5349 or jess@assemblepgh.org.
