Program Description
Stand Up Now (SUN) is dedicated to peace and social justice in the community. SUN makes efforts to educate individuals on issues based on concerns of community youth such as educational justice, poor academic achievement, violence, poverty, clean water, the AIDS epidemic, poor health and nutrition, homelessness, the environment, and oppression. The SUN initiative then takes this knowledge and puts it to work through monthly action projects, community groups, events and partnerships.
