Program Description

Students Navigating Adolescent Pathways (SNAPs) is a prevention program for at-risk middle and high school (6th – 12th grade) students in Pittsburgh’s East End. The program provides a variety of adult-supervised recreational activities and academic support as well as life skills development, career exploration, violence prevention education, and substance abuse prevention education to help improve the youth’s self-esteem and to teach them how to live quality, successful lives. The SNAPs program empowers youth to successfully negotiate their way through an urban environment full of risk, to live healthy lifestyles, to achieve their full potentials, and to contribute to their communities.
