Valley Points Family YMCA Before and After School Care—H.D. Berkey Elementary School

Program Description

The time before and after school can be empty and lonely for kids, or they can be creative and constructive. The Y’s School Age Enrichment program provides children in Kindergarten through the 6th grade the chance to express their talents in the arts, sports, and other areas of interest. Kids find out what success is all about in an approach that says everybody plays, everybody wins. It’s a safe place for kids to hang out and have fun while learning outside the classroom. School Age Enrichment offers a combination of child-choice and teacher-directed activities, with a curriculum that includes homework support, literacy programs, fitness activities, recreational games and art projects. All teachers have degrees and/or are certified, and through the use of carefully planned programs, children are helped to achieve their fullest potential in terms of mental development, physical well-being and social growth. All children enrolled full-time receive a complimentary Youth Membership to the Valley Points Family YMCA while enrolled. All sites are Keystone STARS Level 1.
