Visual Arts Career Orientation Program (VACOP)

Return to our Program Finder

Program Description

Our Visual Arts Career Orientation Program (VACOP) brings high school students together with professional artists to work in professional settings to learn their craft. In addition, the AAP Education/Outreach Program nurtures emerging artists and creative thinking by bringing art workshops into economically disadvantaged neighborhoods for children ages 6 to twelve. Our high school groups will include 15-20 students. Each student is highly encouraged to attend all six activities. Students are expected to bring bag lunches. A thirty minute or less lunch break will be set by the workshop instructor. Carrick and Seton LeSalle students will be provided bus transportation through the grant.
