Workshop Description: Long-term bullying is associated with a variety of adverse consequences including depression, anxiety & diminished academic achievement. Bullying interventions & strategies are imperative for creating healthy environments in which youth can flourish. We will discuss the importance of prevention, research based interventions & techniques to address bullying. We also will discuss the importance of providing trauma informed care as a prevention and responsive measure. Participants will interact, engage & learn new tools to implement at home or in your educational programs to help shift the culture.
Children are welcome to stay with parents in auditorium. Arts & crafts bag provided. Provide child’s name & age when registering. For educators, eligible for two Act 48 hours. Bring professional ID.
