Beginning with Bequests

April 9, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Tuesday, April 09, 2019 9:30 AM–12:30 PM

Not only do bequests and other planned gifts provide donors with the best opportunity to make a significant impact, they are also the lowest cost, highest value gifts nonprofit organizations can generate.  With an estimated $9 trillion expected to pass to the next generation by 2027, nonprofits of all sizes need to start talking to their donors about bequests.  In this interactive session, participants will learn why talking to their donors about leaving a legacy is important, who is most likely to make an estate gift, and how to implement and market a basic bequest program.  Participants will leave feeling more comfortable and competent talking to their donors about legacy giving.

The fee to attend this workshop is $20 per person which can be paid at the door with cash or check made payable to Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.  Space is limited and registration is required by calling the Nonprofit Resource Center at 412.622.6277.
