Donor Discovery and Qualification

Relational fundraising is the cornerstone to a strong giving program for any nonprofit organization. Building relationships with donors takes time and skill. Where do you begin? How do you gather timely, pertinent, and meaningful information from your donors? What vehicles should you use? Which questions should you ask? How do you move away from transactional fundraising?
Join our speaker, Emma Kieran, who will discuss donor discovery and qualification and talk through the tools you should have in your toolbox to help you develop deeper relationships with your donors and promote enhanced engagement with your organization. You will learn how to gather information more effectively from your donors that leads to lasting relationships.
Emma Gilmore Kieran is Principal and Founder of Pilot Peak Consulting. Bringing nearly 20 years of professional and volunteer fundraising experience, Emma started Pilot Peak Consulting in 2014. She has worked with over 100 nonprofits in her career as a coach, teacher and change agent. Previously, Emma was the Vice President for Fundraising and Development at Orr Associates, Inc. (OAI) and a consultant with Changing Our World (CW). Emma holds an MA in Organizational Psychology and Change Leadership from Columbia University, an MPA from American University in Nonprofit Management and a BA from Connecticut College. In her free time, Emma is an avid marathoner and four-time Ironman triathlete, volunteers for several Pittsburgh-based organizations, and spends time with her husband and labradoodles.
The fee to attend this class is $20 per person, which can be paid at the door with cash or check. Space is limited and registration is required by calling the Nonprofit Resource Center at 412.622.6277.
